AGREEMENT MONITORING
OVERVIEW
One of the purposes of the MWMT is to monitor the implementation and the effectiveness of any British Columbia/ Wet’suwet’en government-to-government agreements, and related natural resources management activities, plans, and policies in the Morice Water Management Area (the “Morice Plans”).
LAND USE SCOPING
Objectives from plans, policies, and agreements within the MWMT geographic scope are consolidated in the 'Morice Plans Repository'. These objectives are categorized as either legal or aspirational. To ensure their effectiveness, they must be adhered to by all land users and monitored regularly.
WATERSHED INDICATOR DASHBOARD
The watershed indicator dashboard utilizes data from the Environmental Stewardship Initiative-Skeena Sustainability Assessment Forum concerning fish and fish habitat management. It provides insights into assessment unit watersheds within the Morice River and Bulkley River Watersheds, including land use plan coverages, indicators of stream disturbances, and management responses.
